This old-vine Garnacha is planted at high altitudes of 1,000 meters (3,200 ft) resulting in a concentration and a structure not typically found in this varietal. At first whiff, violets and strawberry compote are rounded out with warm spices and stone. On the palate a lively acidity is complimented with food-friendly tannins. A wine with a true sense of place - the echo of minerality this wine gives off comes from the soil which is composed of granite and sand.
