While we can't exactly ignore the situation we're currently living in, we have to acknowledge that a little daydreaming can be helpful. I'm sure you all had trips cancelled or gatherings postponed this year. We certainly did, and it sucks. Every year our December curator, General Manager and Beverage Director Trevor William Martínez takes a wine trip to Italy as an ambassador for Cambridge's Giulia

He joins one of our favorite importers, Nick Mucci, and together the pair bop around the Italian countryside meeting winemakers and tasting new wines to bring home to Boston. Of course their travel plans were cancelled this year. But instead of missing out entirely, Trevor wanted to include wines that he and Nick found on last year's trip. This month's box is dedicated to all of the vacations we had to reschedule. Here's hoping we get to pack out bags next year!

Lastly, we want to include this reminder from our hearts. Winter is here and our friends in the restaurant industry need our help more than ever.   • Francesco Brigatti, Colline Novaresi MottoBello Bianco–  Pure sunshine. Bone dry with bright acidity and something savory that reminds us of olives and sautéed shallots.  Pair with Giulia's Insalata di Radicchio or Fresh Burrata.

    This Nebbiolo hits you with raspberries, strawberries, and prunes. A more subdued Nebbiolo that's just begging for food. A softer expression from the sandy soils of the Roero, aged in stainless steel and cement.
