Bistro Life Comes to Charlestown

CURATED BY KARI COONEY

CO-OWNER/WINE DIRECTOR OF DOVETAIL/BREWERS FORK

*DELIVERIES BEGIN TUESDAY NOVEMBER 10TH*

Before lockdown, Kari and her team were nearly finished with the build out of Dovetail. Once construction started back up she said it didn't feel right not to even take a shot at finishing. The overwhelming response from their Charlestown community is what kept production going. Kari told us that she finds going to work healing because regulars come in and reassure her that they’re doing things right, and they feel safe. When she hears people say that theirs is the only restaurant they visit, it makes her feel like they’re handling things the right way

Kari describes Dovetail as cozier and more intimate with lots of exposed brick and beamed ceilings. Things should be up and running by the second or third week of November, and we can't wait. We hope you enjoy Kari's picks this month.

And remember, as we move into winter, our friends in the restaurant industry will need our help more than ever. We encourage you to set up weekly orders with your own neighborhood spots, give gift cards as holiday presents this year, and share your experiences on social media. Get out the good word and let's help our friends stay in business.

  • Domaine Thierry Hamelin, Petit Chablis–  The cleanest Chardonnay you'll ever taste. It's like drinking a whoosh of fresh air. Pair with a creamy chowder or fresh oysters.
  • Giornata, Paso Robles Il Campo Bianco – Giornata winemakers call this their "porch-pounder." It's bright, palate-quenching, and unique. Perfect for Fish & Chips with plenty of malt vinegar.
  • 'Le Pigeoulet' Rhône Red – Autumn in a bottle. Fresh, snappy cranberries and a mountain of dried leaves. Its mellow finish makes it incredibly easy to drink. Pair with anything on your Taco Tuesday menu.
