One of the challenges Fox & the Knife has faced through all of this is the lack of connection with customers. Instead of chatting with guests tableside, Alex has had to foster relationships by writing notes on to-go bags and commenting on Instagram. But where does hospitality go when the face-to-face (now mask-to-mask) connection isn’t there? Giving up those interactions, handing over creative control as a chef to keep your business running, this isn’t what anyone signed up for. But F&K is showing their strength by how well they adapt. They are setting a beautiful example by navigating this impossible situation with poise.

'I'm hopeful that we can provide our team with a safe work environment once we reach the next phase. I’m hopeful that we can be creative and put a successful system in place. I hope that we can achieve that for them. I’m believe that we can adapt. We want to try to keep the personal aspects of this job personal. We want to continue to create those intimate moments for customers.' - Alexandra Hayden

  • Sabbia Vulcanica Falanghina– This light bodied white has notes of acacia honey, fresh butter and skittles (yes..skittles!). This is why we love Falalghina. Lightly textured, sublte honeysuckle blossom, Parm-rind savoury goodness. Pair this Italian white with F&K Burrata or Grilled Asparagus.
  • Vin de Corse Rosé – Light bodied rose with notes of seashells, white nectarine and rose petals. It's like a satin nightgown but for your mouth. Delicate, silky, and a little risqué. Watch this wine shine with the F&K Broccoli all Griglia 'Caesar'
  • Basadone – A understated medium bodied red with notes of cherry wood, blood orange and violet. Yikes this goes down easily. Stewed strawberry, gently floral, snappy acidity. Gorgeous. Try this with F&K's Bucatini all'Amatriciana.
  • Monferrato Dolcetto Aur-Oura – Saddle up your horses for this full bodied red. This wine smells and tastes like both, and we love it. With notes of new leather, espresso and soppressata, we say to pair this with ALL the charcuterie!
