And just this May, Kristie Weiss took the reins from beloved owner, chef, & sommelière Deborah Hansen. Kristie, a longtime patron of Taberna, shares a passion for Spanish culture and cuisine. Her love for the restaurant runs deep, and she brings with her a wealth of experience and an unyielding commitment to maintaining the restaurant's authentic charm.
She envisions not just preserving the traditions but infusing new life into the space, ensuring it remains a vibrant and integral part of Brookline for years to come. Under her Kristie’s ownership, Taberna de Haro will continue to provide a welcoming atmosphere of a traditional taberna—a place where friends and family can gather, share stories, and savor the rich flavors of Spain.
