CURATED BY RICHARD PILE, ELEPHANT WALK
WINE DIRECTOR/CO-OWNER
*DELIVERIES START JUNE 8TH*
Walking through the doors of an established restaurant is like accepting a warm embrace from someone older and wiser who knows that everything is going to be alright. This month we recognize Elephant Walk, who celebrates its thirty first year in business in 2022. Richard Pile has created a space for Bostonians to gather and enjoy exquisitely prepared food.
There are few places where you can enjoy Filet de Thon and Mee Siem at the same table. The long, welcoming bar is the perfect spot to spend a night over dreamy cocktails and crispy dumplings. Better yet, cozy up alongside the red brick wall, lingering over French classics like Magret De Canard Poêlé. So, as the weather warms up and the days become longer, consider strolling into the South End. Maybe we’ll see you there.
A. Christmann, Trocken Riesling - Light bodied & zippy. The Riesling we all need in our live. Petrol for the human spirit. Pair with Elephant Walk’s Rouleaux De Thon, Nyoum Trask.
Josef & Philipp Brundlmayer, Rosé - Light bodied & sharp. Watermelon Rind, Tomatillo, Freeze Dried Strawberries. Actually, we would date this rosé. So fresh & spritzy. Pair with Elephant Walk’s Avocat Kanthor, or some Fresh Burrata.
Domaine Louis Fleurot, Bourgogne Pinot Noir - Medium bodied & impressive. Chocolate Covered Cherries, Fresh Morels. Smashed black raspberry, edgy tannins, & barnyardy goodness. This is a Pinot to show off. Pair with Pavé De Saumon, Bavette à l'Echalotte.
