Not In Our White Mind - June 2020

Bodega Monte Xanic, Sauvignon Blanc

Region: Baja California, Mexico

Varietal: Sauvignon Blanc

In brief: The dry, full-bodied Sauvignon Blanc you’ve been looking for. 100% dry with just a bit of white grapefruit lurking in the background.

Domaine Vigneau-Chevreau, Vouvray Cuvée Silex Sec

Region: AOC Vouvray - Loire Valley, France

Varietal: Chenin Blanc

In brief: Full of Golden Apples and Anjou Pears. Gorgeous, dry, and full of flinty goodness. One of our favorites.

Martha Stoumen Wines, Post Flirtation White Blend

Region: California

Varietals: Roussanne, Marsanne, Colombard, Muscat Blanc

In Brief: Gooseberries, magnolia, and ocean breeze. This cushy white blend is approachable but exotic. Supple fruit and lovely salinity.

Weingut Bernhard Ott, Am Berg Grüner Veltliner

Region: Wagram -  Niederösterreich, Austria

Varietal: Grüner Veltliner

In Brief: This is clean, sharp Grüner that hits every part of your palate. It’s bone-dry and light, but not without nuance. Bosc pear, a little mothball, and definitely some unripe pineapple in the background. It has a weighty texture that makes us want creamy, buttery mashed potatoes.
